Attend the largest gathering of PM&R physicians in the world and be part of the voice of your specialty at this critical time in health care.
At the Annual Assembly, you can gain continuing education that meets your needs—at your pace, within your clinical area. Our "one big meeting" provides the most live educational courses focused on physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) each year. The shared learning experience brings the PM&R community together for valuable face-to-face conversation and exchange of information.
Educational sessions come in all sizes at our meeting and are divided into five topic tracks: rehabilitation topics, musculoskeletal medicine, neurological rehabilitation, spine/spinal cord injury, and practice management and leadership.
Smaller hands-on and interactive workshops provide a more intimate learning experience, while larger plenary sessions bring all meeting registrants together for shared learning. Courses are delivered in basic, intermediate, and advanced levels. "Focused sessions" present an hour of advanced-level content on one specific topic.
Keynote speakers for 2010 include Betsy Sandel, MD, AAPM&R President discussing insights from her oral history project, Playback/PM&R: Our Voices, Our Vision. and Stan Herring, MD, who will address youth and sports concussion. Research presentations will be easier to access this year with extended hours.
If you haven't been to an Annual Assembly in the past few years, you don’t know what you’re missing. Meet us in the Emerald City this November to find out for yourself.
Before the Annual Assembly begins, four preconference courses will offer you the chance to not only extend your learning, but to also focus it on one topic. Courses offered November 2-3, 2010, are:
