About the Sports Medicine Board Examination Review CourseThe Academy assembled experts in the field of sports medicine to deliver an exceptional prep course for those physicians planning to sit for the Sports Medicine Subspecialty Board Exams. Course content offered a refresher for participants on sports medicine topics. In addition, to fully prepare registrants for ALL segments of the exam, leaders in primary care medicine were also included on the faculty to cover some general topics less familiar to PM&R physicians such as dermatology, infectious disease, and pulmonary issues. The course, which took place May 7-10, 2008, not only prepared attendees for the exam, it also offered continuing medical education (CME) that can be used toward the 30-credit requirement to sit for the subspecialty board exam. Registration to sit for the Sports Medicine Subspecialty Board Examination can be completed by contacting the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Registration for the Summer 2008 exam closed March 1, 2008. For board examination dates, visit www.abprm.org. AccreditationThe American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) is accredited by ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. AAPM&R designates this educational activity for a maximum of 22.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Questions?Course Content Information Stephanie Mercado |
