AAPM&R Attended the Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement (PCPI) Spring 2016 Conference

PCPI4The Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement (PCPI) Spring 2016 Conference was held April 14-15 in Washington, DC. Academy staff and AAPMR’s Liaison to the PCPI, Dr. Wickremashinge were in attendance to learn more about the PCPI’s future direction and hear from exceptional speakers on the future of MACRA, including Kate Goodrich, Director at Centers for Medicare and Medicare Services (CMS) Quality Measurement and Health Assessment Group, Center for Clinical Standards and Quality.

PCPI3Other topics included quality improvement, measurement, and registries. The PCPI is a national, physician-led initiative dedicated to improving patient health and safety by:

  • Identifying and developing evidence-based clinical performance measures and measurement resources that enhance the quality of patient care and foster accountability
  • Promoting the implementation of effective and relevant clinical performance improvement activities
  • Advancing the science of clinical performance measurement and improvement

The PCPI develops, tests, implements, and disseminates evidence-based measures that reflect the best practices and best interest of medicine. Your Academy is committed to actively participating in national conversations about quality, outcomes and measurement.
