  • Understand the 2 different ways in which Medicare will pay physicians in the future.
  • Evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of alternative payment model proposals from Medicare, commercial health plans, and other organizations.
  • Understand how an appropriately-designed alternative payment model can enable better care for patients and improve the financial viability of physiatry practices.
  • Identify the steps an individual physiatry practice can take to develop and successfully implement a good alternative payment model.

CMS Releases Codes for 2017 Global Surgery Data Collection

Beginning July 1, 2017, practitioners in Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, Nevada, New Jersey, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, and Rhode Island are required to report on post-operative visits furnished to Medicare Part B patients and associated with a specific list of CPT® services. Learn more.
