Resident Volunteers Needed for Annual Assembly Skills Labs | Volunteer your time during the 2017 Annual Assembly—and reap the rewards! Some Skills Labs require the assistance of volunteers and your Academy welcomes and appreciates the help of its resident members. Proposed Physician Fee Schedule: Still Not Available | AAPM&R has been anxiously awaiting the release of the proposed Physician Fee Schedule, so that we can analyze its impact on physiatric practices and respond accordingly. Quality Reporting: 4% Penalty for Non-Compliance | You must meet your 2017 Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) reporting requirements to avoid up to a 4% penalty in 2019. You can easily meet your MIPS requirements with the Academy’s qualified clinical data registry, the Spine Quality Outcomes Database (SQOD), but time is running out! You must sign up to participate by October 1 to use the SQOD for the 2017 reporting year. Don’t delay—talk to your practice manager today about participating in the SQOD, even if you are not part of a spine-focused practice. Learn more.

Coding and Reimbursement for Regenerative Medicine | Regenerative medicine is an exciting field for physicians as well as patients. Unfortunately, more studies are needed for physicians to have more confidence that these procedures are helpful and appropriate.
