The American Academy of Physical Medicine
and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) recognizes that your privacy on the Internet is very important to

importance to the Academy. This Privacy Policy describes how we will and will
not use the information you entrust to us. This statement applies solely to
information collected on this Web site.
Though we are committed to insuring your privacy, we may

Information Collection
AAPM&R uses information voluntarily submitted by
members and others to provide you with personalized service tailored to your
needs and to enable us to continually improve the convenience and
functionality of this site.
General Users
AAPM&R does not collect any personal information from users browsing its Web
site. Users to the public areas of AAPM&R's Web site browse anonymously.
AAPM&R's web server tracks the domain names and IP addresses (not the
individual e-mail addresses) of all visitors to our site to measure the
general number of visits, pages visited, average time spent on the site,
etc. but we do not use this information to determine any user's identity.
AAPM&R Members
To gain access to members-only resources and personalization features on the
Web site, members are asked to provide a unique user ID and password. AAPM&R's
web server tracks the domain names and IP addresses (not the individual
e-mail addresses) of members entering the members-only area but only for
purposes of measuring the general number of visits, pages visited, average
time spent on the site, etc.
Meeting Registrants
Members and non-members may have the option to register for specific AAPM&R
meetings online. When registering online, as with the paper version,
registrants will be asked to provide basic contact information, including
e-mail. For members, this information is verified with membership
information previously provided and updated. For non-members, this basic
contact information is entered into our database and a unique user ID is
assigned to facilitate online meeting registration.
Use of Cookies
Cookies are files that contain information created by a
Web server to track information regarding users of the site. AAPM&R
uses cookies so that we can better serve you when you return to
our site. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie,
giving you the chance to decide whether to accept it.
Disclosure of Information
AAPM&R makes member contact information and
meeting registration information available to members and to qualified third
parties. AAPM&R does not release, sell or rent member e-mail addresses for

AAPM&R maintains an e-mail list of members to enable us
to keep you informed about important events. Members are given the option to
unsubscribe at anytime. AAPM&R does not release, sell or rent the e-mail
addresses on the list for solicitation purposes. In addition, we configure our
listserve software to refuse to divulge the e-mail addresses
of our list subscribers to anyone but authorized AAPM&R staff, including other
list subscribers.

links to an outside web site, whether in an advertisement or content area of

AAPM&R online dues renewal and meeting registration is designed to protect
your privacy. When you make payments online with AAPM&R, all of your information, including your credit card number and delivery address, is

other than AAPM&R from viewing and downloading your information.

certain products, including AAPM&R branded merchandise sold by a third

information goes directly to the third party vendor for the purpose of billing
and fulfilling your order, and is not received, stored or otherwise retained by AAPM&R in any way. If AAPM&R's third
party vendor selling AAPM&R branded merchandise has trouble processing an
