Position Overview
Reporting to and working closely with the Associate Executive Director, the Senior Sales Manager is a key driver of revenue growth, responsible for managing corporate partnerships, sponsorship implementation, advertising, and third-party education initiatives. This role is heavily sales-focused (85%) and includes, managing renewals, and identifying new prospects while ensuring smooth execution of corporate initiatives. The ideal candidate is an outgoing, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at relationship-building, and is comfortable with creative outreach and closing sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage renewals and prospect for sponsorships, advertising, and partnerships.
- Develop and maintains strong relationships with corporate partners, sponsors, and advertisers.
- Conduct outreach via calls, meetings, and creative engagement strategies to secure new business.
- Responsible for revenue from list rentals, advertising, corporate memberships, course sponsorships, third-party education opportunities, and more.
- Manage and works closely with the Corporate Support Assistant to seek funding for educational grants.
- Engage in other efforts to support the corporate support team and strategies, as assigned.
- Co-manage relationship with third party who sells exhibits and sponsorships for annual meeting and ensures smooth execution.
- Implement sponsorship programs in collaboration with internal stakeholders and the Corporate Support Assistant.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the Education team, ensuring seamless communication and execution of educational partnerships and programs.
- Oversee all advertising sales efforts and manage external advertising partnerships and opportunities to maximize reach and revenue and execution.
- Share responsibility for data management, ensuring accuracy and organization.
- Ensure alignment between internal teams to maximize communication and sponsorship opportunities.
AAPM&R Offers
Based on experience and skillsets, the salary range for the Sr. Sales Manager role is $75,000 – $90,000/annually. AAPM&R offers the following benefits:

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in sales, corporate partnerships, sponsorships, or advertising required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field, preferred
- Proven track record of managing and growing revenue streams.
- Experience working with corporate sponsors, advertisers, and third-party education providers desired
- Travel is approximately 5 - 10%, including likely the Annual Assembly and other potential short trips throughout the year to be determined. There may be an occasional weekend meeting, primarily located at or near the office in Rosemont. There is also a potential to participate in evening conference calls/webinars throughout the year.
- Access to our Rosemont, IL office at least 5 -6 days a month, required
- Experience with a CRM, a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools.

Location: Rosemont, IL (Hybrid)
*Must have access to Rosemont, IL office biweekly for 5-6 days per month, on average.
