Looking to Advance Your Career?
AAPM&R provides opportunities for members to have a greater influence within and outside of the specialty. This includes promoting PM&R by having a seat at the table in a variety of spaces, leading conversations, developing professional connections and gaining additional knowledge about other areas of practice to improve the specialty. With these opportunities, AAPM&R staff will assist with the recruitment and nomination process, orientation and debrief to liaisons while offering opportunities for check-ins as needed. Many liaison opportunities result in deliverables, and as a liaison, members have the opportunity to be featured in Member May sessions, podcast episodes, e-newsletter Round-Ups, The Physiatrist articles and Annual Assembly presentations.
Nomination Process

Liaison opportunities are vetted through AAPM&R’s Evidence, Quality, and Practice Committee and nominee recommendations have typically been given at this time. AAPM&R staff reach out to potential nominees individually and gather application materials. Applications are submitted by AAPM&R staff.
