PM&R Awareness Ambassadors

Applications Now Being Accepted for the New PM&R Awareness Ambassadors Program!

This unique program recognizes AAPM&R members who have positioned PM&R through media interviews, presentations in their communities or systems and/or presentations to other specialties.

• Are you speaking with reporters about PM&R?
• Delivering presentations about the value of the specialty to external audiences, such as primary care, hospital administration, etc.?

We want to recognize you!

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be a member of AAPM&R.
  

• If you spoke with a reporter, let us know which media outlet you spoke with and when.
  

• Have you made a presentation in one of these qualifying places?
  • Large system, primary care, another specialty’s conference, medical student presentation, etc.
• Did you utilize AAPM&R's template slide deck to share a consistent message?
  

• Form to be completed by the applicant.
  • Within the form, please submit a copy of your presentation (if applicable).

Recognition

• Access to exclusive media training sessions led by an expert public relations agency (valued at $1,000+).
• A digital certificate will be provided.
• You will be promoted in our social media channels, at the Annual Assembly and in our annual membership brochure.
• PM&R Awareness Ambassadors will also qualify to potentially be included in our AAPM&R Speakers Bureau. Members of our Speakers Bureau are PM&R champions who raise awareness of the specialty while utilizing a consistent message platform. They are called upon when we receive interview requests from national reporters who are interested in writing an article(s) on PM&R.
