May 28– Call for Member Community Chair Nominations Open
July 9– Nominations Close
July 23– Ballots will be distributed to member community members who had more than 1 chair nominated.
August 6 – Election closes
Mid-August – Election notifications distributed
Fall 2023 – Chair orientation
November 25 - New Member Community chair term begins at the end of the 2025 Annual Assembly.

Facilitating and encouraging engagement between members
Facilitating Member Community activities online via PhyzForum
Organizing, calling and chairing Member Community gatherings in-person at the Annual Assembly
Serving as a resource for and connection to the Academy on issues related to the Member Community's area of focus - for example, helping identify subject matter experts

This is your opportunity to grow your career, expand your PM&R network and advance the specialty!

Each Member Community chair term is 2 years.

The term will begin at the end of the 2025 Annual Assembly and will end at the 2027 Annual Assembly.

All the member communities are different with very different goals. Some are social and focused on networking and connecting while others value education and learning clinical topics. They all meet different member needs.
Don’t be afraid to initiate a discussion. This is how members of the community stay engaged.
Now is the time for new leadership and new ideas. Step up!
Know what you want from your community. As chair, you get out of it what you determine is important.
Residents and Early Career members can serve as chair. Throw your name in the hat! Senior Academy leaders will be available to support you.
