We are pleased to inform you of late-breaking news that the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR), the organization that sets Continuing Certification program requirements for the specialty of PM&R, has just announced a new opportunity where qualifying poster presentations at the AAPM&R Annual Assembly can be used for the ABPMR quality improvement project requirement!
At next year's AAPM&R Annual Assembly in San Diego, CA from November 6-10, you can submit your quality improvement and/or safety projects as a poster, and it will be considered by the ABPMR for fulfilling the Continuing Certification quality improvement requirement (previously MOC Part 4). We are confident that this new collaboration will help our members more easily meet this requirement. It will also showcase a large variety of quality and safety projects that are considered appropriate for maintaining board certification, thus further helping our members while also advancing the field.
In addition, the ABPMR is currently reviewing posters from the 2023 AAPM&R Annual Assembly to assess which met the quality improvement requirement. ABPMR will be announcing more details on this exciting news, and we will share with you as we learn more.
