1. What part of being a PM&R physician are you most thankful for?
As a PM&R physician I am so grateful for my mentors, trainees and colleagues. I simply couldn’t imagine working with a better group of people.
2. Why is expressing gratitude especially important for those in the healthcare profession?
I do a daily gratitude journal because I believe happiness revolves around expressing gratitude to yourself and others. It’s imperative to recognize it, rejoice in it and pass it forward.
3. What’s something enjoyable you get to experience every day that you can sometimes take for granted?
My overall good health.
4. What's a hard lesson that you were grateful to learn?
Failure happens, despite the best laid plans. The ability to change strategy if the desired outcome does not occur is essential to repeated success.
