Reminder: MIPS Preliminary Performance Feedback Data Is Available

Jun 04, 2018

Reminder: Visit the QPP Website to View Your MIPS Preliminary Performance Feedback Data

CMS would like to remind you that if you submitted 2017 Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) data through the Quality Payment Program website, you can review your preliminary performance feedback. Please note: this is not your MIPS final score or feedback.

Your final score and feedback will be available in July.  Between now and June 30, 2018, your score could change based on the following:

  • Special status scoring considerations (e.g., hospital-based clinicians)
  • Final calculations of the All-Cause Readmission Measure for the Quality performance category
  • Inclusion of claims measures from 60-day run out period
  • Results of the CAHPS for MIPS Survey
  • Approval or denial of Promoting Interoperability (formerly Advancing Care Information) performance category Hardship Application
  • Improvement Activities Study participation and results
  • Creation of performance period benchmarks for Quality measures that didn’t have a historical benchmark

Your final score and feedback will be available through the Quality Payment Program website. You will be able to access preliminary and final feedback with the same Enterprise Identity Management (EIDM) credentials that allowed you to submit and view your data during the submission period. Don’t have an EIDM account? Start the process now! Refer to the EIDM User Guide for instructions.

Preliminary feedback for MIPS Eligible Clinicians participating in Medicare Shared Savings Program or Next Generation Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs)

If you participated in a MIPS Alternative Payment Model (APM) in 2017, specifically in a Medicare Shared Savings Program or Next Generation ACO, your preliminary MIPS feedback is now available to your ACO via the Quality Payment Program website.

Under the MIPS APM Scoring Standard, the preliminary performance feedback, accessible to the APM Entity, will be based on the APM Entity score and is applicable to all MIPS eligible clinicians within the APM Entity group.  This feedback and score does not have any impact on the Shared Savings Program or Next Generation ACOs’ quality assessment.

Please note: this is not your MIPS final score or feedback; your final score and feedback will be available in July 2018. Once available, Participant TINs in the Shared Savings Program will be able to log into the Quality Payment Program website and directly access final performance feedback. Participants in Next Generation ACOs will need to request feedback from a representative (such as a security official) within their APM Entity.
