On Wednesday July 31, 2024, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released final rules for fiscal year 2025 for both Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (IRF) and Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF). Your Academy submitted comments on both the IRF and SNF rules in May, primarily addressing proposals related to the Quality Reporting Programs. Policies and payment finalized in the rules will take effect October 1, 2024.
AAPM&R is reviewing both rules and will provide additional updates on final policies and payment in the coming weeks.
