The AMA Journal of Ethics Publishes Article Addressing Obstacles to Evidence-Informed Pain Care

Aug 10, 2020, 13:51 PM by User Not Found

The August issue of the AMA Journal of Ethics (JOE) published an article, Addressing Obstacles to Evidence-Informed Pain Care, authored by the AMA Pain Care Task Force (PCTF).

Dr. Erik Shaw, AAPM&R’s official representative to the AMA PCTF, is a contributing author to this article. The PCTF is comprised of representatives from 20 Federation member associations and was developed to identify a set of priorities for improving pain care that are actionable and that will potentially provide opportunities for collaborative action.

The AMA Pain Care Task Force microsite includes the PCTF’s document, Principles of Evidence Based and Evidence Informed Pain Care for Physicians, which expands on the recently published JOE article.
