  • Marlis Gonzalez-Fernandez, MD, PhD, an AAPM&R Evidence Committee member, testified on December 9 on the applicability of H-CAHPS Pain Measures on behalf of the Academy during the National Quality Forum (NQF) Measure Applications Partnership (MAP) Hospital Workgroup Meeting. Read more.
  • Sunil Kothari, MD, medical director of the Disorders of Consciousness Program at TIRR Memorial Hermann and assistant professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine, is helping East Baton Rouge Deputy Nick Tullier recover from life-threatening gunshot wounds to the head, abdomen, and shoulder. Tullier was 1 of 6 Baton Rouge police officers shot during a July 17 ambush attack that left 3 dead and 3 critically injured. Read more.
