Drs. Ifejika, Klava, Nagel, Setliff, and Schaefer: In the News, August 1, 2018

  • Nneka L. Ifejika, MD, MPH, FAAPMR, section chief of stroke rehabilitation at UT Southwestern Medical Center, recently received the Texas Health Resources Clinical Scholars Award. Dr. Ifejika is the first woman, first physiatrist, and the first African-American to receive this 3-year research grant.
  • William N. Klava, MD, FAAPMR, physiatrist at Sanford Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, discusses paralyzation after a spinal cord injury. Read more.
  • David J. Nagel, MD, FAAPMR, physiatrist at Concord Orthopaedics PA, shares his personal experience of why he became a physiatrist and what he's learned along the way. Read more.
