AAPM&R is committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within our membership. In order to move conversation into action, we have joined with Association Forum, the “Association of Associations” in Chicago, and McKinley Advisors, a leading association research and strategy firm, to embark on a groundbreaking research study to understand the motivations, perceptions, challenges, and needs among AAPM&R members around diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Your data will remain confidential and responses will only be reported in aggregate.
Please note that one section of the survey is related to your professional workplace and another is related to your experience with AAPM&R as your membership association.
Association Forum defines Welcoming Environment® as the creation of a sense of belonging and connectedness that engages individuals in an authentic manner in which uniqueness is valued, respected, and supported through opportunities and interaction.
Why Welcoming Environment®?
- Deeper engagement
- Stronger participation
- Increased revenue
- Sustainable relationships
By participating in this research effort, your unique insights will help AAPM&R, and the association community at-large, to move past typical diversity, equity, and inclusion rhetoric and toward actionable solutions to implement Welcoming Environment® (WE) strategies. Please respond today.
The survey should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete and individual responses will be kept anonymous. If you start the survey and stop before completing it, you can pick up where you left off by providing your email address in the “Save and Continue” bar at the top of the screen. This will not be tied to your survey response. The survey will close on March 2, 2020. If you have any questions or need assistance with the survey, please contact Meghana Deshmane, Senior Research Associate at McKinley Advisors, by emailing mdeshmane@mckinley-advisors.com.
Your responses are very important, and we hope that you will take time to participate in this study. If you have any questions about this research effort, please email diversity@aapmr.org. We know that your time is very valuable so thank you in advance for your participation.
