On September 11, 2023, your Academy submitted comments to CMS regarding proposals in the
Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) and the
Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System proposed rules. Comments focused on issues including: the proposed 3.4% cut to payment, telehealth proposals, split (or shared) billing, new billing opportunities and quality proposals in the rule. In addition to Academy comments on behalf of the specialty, we are pleased to share that 142 Academy members submitted individual comments to CMS regarding the MPFS.
