PCORI Advisory Panels – Call for Nominations

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is now accepting applications and nominations for their 2018 Advisory Panel member selection cycle! Current Advisory Panel openings include Clinical Effectiveness and Decision Science, Healthcare Delivery and Disparities Research, Patient Engagement, Clinical Trails, and Rare Diseases. More information regarding each panel can be found in the chart linked to the PCORI site below. Applications are due Friday, March 30, by 5:00p ET. Academy members are encouraged to notify the Academy of their intent to apply at healthpolicy@aapmr.org.

Expected Time Commitment:

Panelists are required to attend two to four in-person meetings in the DC area and several remote access meetings throughout the year, and to read background materials in preparation for all meetings. 

Responsibilities:

PCORI advisory panels do not serve in an official decision-making capacity, but their recommendations and advice will be taken into consideration by PCORI staff, Board, and Methodology Committee in:

  • Modeling robust patient and stakeholder engagement efforts;
  • Refining and prioritizing specific research questions;
  • Providing other scientific or technical expertise; and
  • Providing input on other relevant questions that may arise to the Institute’s mission and work.
