The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) has released its Fiscal Years 2020-2024 Strategic Plan. AAPM&R is an active member of the NIAMS Coalition and submitted comments regarding this strategic plan in July 2019. Your Academy is pleased to find that several of the ideas submitted in our comments (page 3—#6 and 7 and #1 and 2 under Broad Suggestions) were incorporated in the final plan. Special thanks to the AAPM&R Health Policy and Legislation Committee, especially Drs. Jayabalan and Ifejika for their hard work.
